There's this place called Amazing Art Studio at the Washingtonian Center (aka: Rio). It's the largest do-it-yourself art studio around here. We went there for the first time and tested our creativity. We painted a ceramic chopsticks bowl and fused glass to create the plate. The ceramic painting was a little sloppy. Glass fusing involved protective eye wear and a short training session on how to safely cut glass and properly use the tools provided. It's not as easy as it looks or sounds, but it was definitely a lot of fun.

I think we did good for first-timers. The bowl came out a little messy, especially around the rim, but it turned out better than I had expected. We're going back to try other art projects sometime soon. The studio is worth checking out, and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
